Well it’s offical. Today Firefox has reached the 1 Billion download Milestone. The browser now roughly owns 30% of the browser market. It’s my personal favorite browser and if you haven’t use it then you should check it out.
Don’t leave home without your favorite browser. PortableApps.com firefox 3.5 ready for your thumb drive. This is only available for windows but check it out anyways. They also have some other great applications ready to go on your thumb drive.
One of the most important things to do when your making a website is to check to see if displays correctly in all browsers. Browser Shots is a great website that will do this and will give you screen shots for you to compare to see if your website looks similar across all browsers.
For all those users who have firefox already then all you got to do is do an update check. To do this “help / check for updates” and viola you have moved up to preview release. As for the Preview itself, it contains stability and JavaScript fixes, better support for Ogg-coded audio and video, and a few other efficiencies. The Release Candidate, meanwhile, is still slated for tomorrow, so this looks to be something like an almost-there nightly build.
On May 21, Google released a stable version of Chrome that also bears some improvements. Some of the new improvements include: Improved New Tab Page, Full Screen Mode and Form Autofill to name a few. Check out the video below. Also check out Google Chrome’s Blog.
