Everyone who has used xp knows what I’m talking about. It’s the annoying little bubble that pops up in the bottom right corner telling you that your computer is at risk because it doesn’t recognize your anti-virus program. Well here’s how to turn that off.
* Open the Control Panel folder
* Open the Security Center control panel
* In the left pane, click the link labeled “Change the way Security Center alerts me”
* Uncheck the item(s) that it’s complaining about (i.e.: firewall, automatic updates, or virus protection)
* Press the OK button.
Do you find that sometimes your inbox is full of large mail messages because of the attachments. Usually you don’t delete the message because of mail message itself. Well why not save the attachment then delete it keeping the message intact. It’s an easy tip but a useful one.
Step 1. Right click the email attachment that you want to get rid of and choose “Save As”.
If there are two or more attachments in the messages, go to File -> Save Attachments -> Save All Attachments to create a copy on the hard drive in one go.
Step 2. Right click again and select the “Remove” option this time.
We at Wired Together want to give you how to’s for everyday things. We plan on doing more of these so check back often.
