Audacity-logo-r_50pctEvery have the urge to just bust out some sweet lyrics like i do.  Well Audacity will let you record your sweet lyrics as well as edit them. It’s a simple program that doesn’t have a ton of bells and whistles but it does what it’s suppose to and does it well.  Weather that’s editing Ogg Vorbis, MP3, WAV or AIFF sound files or perhaps changing the speed or pitch of a recording. The best news it’s available for all major operating systems.

Well look no further Cyberduck is here to the rescue.  The outline view of the browser allows to browse large folder structures efficiently and you can quickly preview files with Quick Look. To edit files, a seamless integration with several external editors makes it easy to change content quickly.

Also did i mention that it’s called Cyberduck because that should be enough for you to check it out.

Get Your Vector Program Fix

inkscapeToday we have another free program. I know that’s all we talk about on this blog but guess what. Free equals awesomeness so let’s get to it.  Inkscape is an Open Source vector graphics editor, with capabilities similar to Illustrator, Freehand, CorelDraw, or Xara X using the W3C standard Scalable Vector Graphics. You will need OS X 10.4 or later and Apple’s X11 windowing environment to run it. Download it and give it a go.

Metax for you Meta Data Needs – OS X

metaxSomeone asked me recently if there was a program for mac that would retrieve info from the internet for .mp4 files so hence the post. Check out Metax straight from the Apple website. It automatically retrieves tag information from Amazon and Yahoo! The user can also manually edit retrieved tags to suit their needs. Lock That Mac Computer
